- TUM City Campus – the Built Environment Lab

Get ready for three days of intense collaboration, creativity, and cutting-edge innovation at the AEC/O Hackathon 2025 Munich Edition! From November 21–23, students, researchers and professionals from complementary disciplines will come together at the TUM to tackle real-world challenges from the Built Environment space.
With a strong focus on software, AI, digital models and smart workflows, participants will prototype solutions that challenge the status quo of what is possible in AEC/O technology. Whether you are into coding, design, engineering, project management or business development – this is your chance to turn bold ideas into action.
The AEC/O Hackathon 2025 Munich Edition is organized by TUM Venture Labs | Built Environment, in partnership with Groundbreakers, and supported by a strong network including opensource.construction, BIM World Munich, BEFIVE by UnternehmerTUM, LBI Förderverein, Leonhard Obermeyer Center, Bayerische Ingenieurekammer-Bau, as well as being backed by the Nemetschek Group.
We aim to bring together over 100 hackers – students, researchers, and professionals – to solve challenges from approximately 10 corporations, as well as engage through 3 keynotes and 5 tech talks – spanning 3 days with a duration of 48 hours.
