Europe's Best Medtech @ Bits 2026

The Best European MedTech Pitch is an official side event of Bits & Pretzels 2026, organized by TUM Venture Labs Healthcare.
As one of the highest-profile MedTech events during Bits & Pretzels week, the pitch event gives European medical device startups a dedicated stage within one of Europe’s most prominent startup conferences. The goal is to connect ambitious MDR/IVDR founders directly with relevant investors, VCs, ecosystem players, industry partners, and regulatory experts.
On 28 September 2026, 20 selected European MedTech startups will pitch their solutions to a curated audience of around 130 guests. The event will feature two startup categories:
10 Pre-Certification Startups
For teams developing MDR/IVDR-regulated medical device solutions before certification.
10 Post-Certification Startups
For teams already holding or advancing certified MDR/IVDR-regulated medical device solutions.
An 8-member jury consisting of investors, founders, ecosystem players, and regulatory experts will evaluate the pitches and award two winners.
